Head Coach, Jeff Penzone has been given the privilege of starting the Men's Soccer Program at Southwestern. His background includes being a head coach on both the High School and Competitive Club level. His latest accomplishments include leading Northwest Christian High School to the state finals in two of the last three seasons (winning it all in 2004-2005), being named Coach of the Year in the 1A-3A Metro Conference in both the 2005-2006/2006-2007 seasons and leading a competitive club squad in the Northwest CCV Excel Soccer Club. Jeff is married to Nancy and they have 4 kids: Trevor - 11, Elisabeth - 10, Adam - 8 and Lexie - 8.

Assistant Coach, Jeremy Witt has been the Assistant Coach at Northwest Christian High School for the last four years where he has assisted Coach Penzone for the last three. While on the coaching staff at Northwest Christian, the team has taken home one 3A State Championship and one State runner up, as well as two consecutive 12-0 Region Seasons. Coach Witt is also involved as a coach with the youth soccer program at Christ’s Church of the Valley. He has been playing soccer since he was 4, primarily on competitive traveling teams. As a high school student, he played fours years of Varsity soccer at Moon Valley High School. Today, in addition to coaching, he continues to play in men’s leagues. He has been married for four years to Allison. They do not have children - just two dogs.

Assistant Coach, Matt Wiehl brings 16 years of coaching experience to Southwestern Soccer. For ten seasons, he coached boy's soccer at Portsmouth Christian High School in Virginia. While at PCHS, he was instrumental in starting a new girl's soccer program which he coached for four seasons capturing 3 consecutive Metro Conference titles. Matt was recognized as Metro Athletic Conference soccer coach of the year on five occasions. Currently, along with assisting the SWC Men's Soccer program, he is the Athletic Director and boy's soccer coach at Bethany Christian Middle School in Tempe. Matt is married to Melissa and has two sons: Travis-20 and Taylor-12.

Assistant Coach, Jeremiah Hann was given the opportunity of laying the groundwork for the Southwestern College Soccer program while still a student. Although he no longer plays in the games, he loves being a part of the team in any way he can. Jeremiah graduated from Southwestern in May 2007 with a degree in Christian Ministries with minors in Youth and Music. He currently works for Palm Valley Church in Goodyear as the Junior High Pastor. Jeremiah is planning to marry his fiancee, Amber, in June 2008.
