Southwestern College athletics are a great opportunity for those who participate to use the gifts and talents which God has uniquely designed in each of us to bring glory to Him through competing in a Christ-like manner. Our coaches are Christians and believe they have been called to excellence in teaching their game and in living their lives for Christ. We do not divide our athletic performance and our Christianity. Our expectations are high in the classroom, on the court or field, and in every day life. We are Christian competitors who give their all, all of the time, seeking to impact the world for Christ using the tool of athletics.

The three main goals of Southwestern College athletics are:

1. To instruct athletes in the ultimate goal which is to glorify God in all we do by the total release of all that you are in becoming like Christ in each situation. (Col. 3:17, 23; Rom. 8:29)
2. To use athletics as a tool to teach lessons of respect for teammates, coaches and officials, self-discipline, determination, competitive greatness, fair play, integrity, dealing with adversity, unselfishness, teamwork and responding to situations with a Christ-like attitude.
3. To use athletics as a vehicle of testimony for the Christian faith. (1 Peter 2:12)
