The Mission of the Business Administration Department of Southwestern College is to promote increased organizational effectiveness and efficiency, and, thereby, advance productivity in our community, state, nation and world. In order for this to occur, we instruct from a Christian, Biblical perspective in everything we do, believing that the knowledge of God, and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is the one best change element available to us!

We seek to maintain a learning environment for our students which the elements of successful organization and operation of businesses will be studied, disseminated, and practiced.

Our students will be able to think strategically and to develop strong planning and analytical skills.

We will endeavor to provide our students an environment in which application in the classroom and through Internships and Refereed Competitions they can develop and demonstrate their understanding, use and mastery of business related theory learned in the classroom.

Our students will be given opportunities to enhance their written and oral communication skills and develop the interpersonal skills necessary to compete successfully in a highly diverse, constantly changing and interactive global business environment.

Finally, the Business Administration Department faculty will recognize that the cornerstone of educational quality is an active community of teaching scholars. Each of our Faculty members will continue to develop their own skills through advanced degrees, seminars, and writing/research.
